My Intuition

My Intuition

If I follow my mind,

I shouldn’t go wrong.

Something inside told me,

You were not the right one.

But I ignore the signs

And live to write this song.

My intuition, oh my, oh my,

My intuition!

It’s an incredible one,

It’s that inner man,

Designed to make me strong;

Stand strong against the evil one.

It’s that voice inside of me,

Selling me advice for free.

When my naked eyes can’t see,

This thing kicks in double jeopardy.

My intuition, my intuition,

It knows my ambition,

That you’d only cause friction,

That you’d bring clouds of suspicion,

That you’re not part of my commission.

My intuition told me

Everything about your condition,

But I refused to see it

Other than superstition.

If I follow my mind,

I shouldn’t go wrong.

Something inside told me,

You were not the right one.

But I ignore the signs

And live to write this song.

My intuition, oh my, oh my!

My intuition!

It’s an incredible one,

It’s that inner man,

Designed to make me strong;

Stand strong against the evil one.

It’s that voice inside of me,

Selling me advice for free.

Whatever my naked eyes can’t see,

This thing  kicks in double jeopardy.

My intuition, my intuition,

Such mathematician,

Adding everything to make its petition.

Oh my, oh my!

My intuition.

It sums up even division,

Tallies mistakes with precision.

Tries to derail my road to perdition.

I ignored my intuition,

Like it was telling me a lie;

Gave you a try,

But now I can see why.

My intuition was right, oh my! Oh my!

My intuition,

Oh my, oh my!

My intuition,

So right with its prediction.

From now on, I am your fan

I will listen to that inner man.

It has answers I am waiting on

If I follow my mind,

I shouldn’t go wrong.

Something inside told me,

You were not the right one.

But I ignore the signs

And live to write this song.

My intuition, oh my, oh my!

My intuition!

It’s an incredible one,

It’s that inner man,

Designed to make me strong;

Stand strong against the evil one.

It’s that voice inside of me,

Selling me advice for free.

When my naked eyes can’t see,

This thing kicks in double jeopardy.

From now on my intuition is my optician,

To make me make out things

Beyond recognition.

I’ll listen to my inner voice that speaks,

Telling me what to throw away

And what not to keep.

My intuition puts you on my not-to-do list,

I ignored it but now I get the gist.

If I follow my mind,

I shouldn’t go wrong.

Something inside told me,

You were not the right one.

But I ignore the signs

And live to write this song.

My intuition, oh my, oh my!

My intuition!

It’s an incredible one,

It’s that inner man,

Designed to make me strong;

Stand strong against the evil one.

It’s that voice inside of me,

Giving me advice for free.

When my naked eyes can’t see,

This thing kicks in double jeopardy.

I think everybody can identify with a sixth sense telling you ahead of time what’s lying in wait. However, somehow there is always this lingering doubt that says you should not yield. Then you live to say those famous words ‘if I had known’ but this usually comes too late and you feel like you could beat yourself.
